The properties that are considered to be stable include a substance that has a longer lifetime, if it is a complex compound. A substance that can be used repeatedly, or one that is very light or a very heavy. Therefore, a compound can be called stable, if it can be used over again without having major changes to its properties.It is possible to discover specific properties of a compound, such as organic and inorganic compounds, which are stable compounds, but they are too hig hly reactive to be considered stable. Reactive compounds are those that can cause a reaction.The properties of these types of compounds can be very volatile, such as volatile amines and piperazines, and they can be very stable, such as the compounds that include salt and fullerenes. One major way in which chemists define chemical properties is through their reaction characteristics. For example, cations can be acidic, alkaline, and neutral. On the other hand, anions can be basic, acidic, and basic anions.Chemicals that are poisonous can also be classified based on their reaction characteristics. The important thing to remember is that different reactions occur due to different types of compounds. Understanding the meanings of chemical terms will help one understand what they are referring to in a more abstract sense.
